(progressive) leprosy (lep-ro\'mah-tus lep\'ro-se)
A relentless, progressive form of leprosy in which large numbers of Mycobacterium leprae develop in skin cells, killing the skin cells and resulting in the loss of features. Disfiguring nodules form all over the body.
